SPORT 2000 International is continuing to pursue its growth trajectory: After the successful addition of Sweden, Finland and Italy last year, the buying group is now also present in the Gulf States (United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia) with the Falaknaz Sports Group as its new partner. “With our new member, the Falaknaz Sports Group, we are continuing to successfully pursue our expansion trajectory. The cooperation opens up entirely new perspectives and possibilities for SPORT 2000 International, as we will be represented with SPORT 2000 outlets outside of Europe for the first time. Together with the Falaknaz Group we will be showcasing to customers in the Gulf States our brand competency, our focus on consulting and quality,” declares Margit Gosau, new CEO of SPORT 2000 International.

30 new SPORT 2000 outlets planned
The Falaknaz Sports Group was founded in 1995 in Dubai. The group, under the leadership of Abdul Rahman Ahmad Falaknaz, is specialised in the launching, development and distribution of sports brands, such as Asics, Onitsuka Tiger, Butterfly and BH Fitness. The company, headquartered in Dubai, operates a total of six Asics monobrand stores, two Onitsuka Tiger monobrand stores as well as seven Emirates Sports stores. The Falaknaz Group will open 30 SPORT 2000 outlets in the Gulf States region by 2021 – eleven in the United Arab Emirates, ten in Saudi Arabia, three in Bahrain as well as two in Kuwait and two in Oman.
